Having a lot of lands in play allows a control deck to play a planeswalker and a counterspell in the same turn, or a board wipe and a counterspell in the same turn
Its an incredibly useful card, as it allows you to search your deck for any Pokemon, then put it in your hand
There is nothing quite like a first turn Llanowar Elves, except of course, a Birds of Paradise (in my opinion, the best creature in Magic )
There are enough removal spells in Standard that your six-drop still needs to give you some benefit even if it pays the Ultimate Price
These attacks are similar to that which we saw for Crystal Pokemon in the e-Series back in the day, but they don't have a special mechanic label therefore can't be targeted by cards or effects outside their Tera label, it's essentially a thematic mechanic
Green can often get splashed into Izzet decks and this is one of relatively few green mana dorks you are ever happy splashing
