Confit pots were used to preserve meats beneath fat and are among the most iconic forms of rural French pottery. The contrast between raw clay body and glossy glaze gives this piece strong visual character, making it ideal for use as a planter, utensil holder, or standalone decorative object. Height 11 in (28 cm), width 12 in (30. 5 cm). Excellent antique condition.
