Sounds really nice
We left the classic point-to-point wiring intact but we did have to change some out of spec caps & resistors
It now sounds pretty darn good
original transformer to 240V and changed power lead to use a UK plug so it can be used in the UK without the need for a stepdown transformer (for convenience reasons)
Supro Comet 1610 - Valco - (1961) Small Fender Aside from the standard serviceA really desirable Valco made Supro Comet from 1961. Very nice sounding amp, helped greatly by the original, but re coned, Jensen P10R. Cosmetically, the handle is a replacement and there are a few scuff in the cloth covering, other than that it's pretty amazing condition for its age. Musically, it sounds perfect, a few leaky caps replaced, and a 3 prong cord added for safety, it's largely original. Has to be heard to be believed. Requires a step down
