These natural lake bed reeds are 6 inches long with hole sizes ranging from 7 to 10 mm. The slight size variation gives female bees the choice of a nesting hole that is just right for them. These quality natural reeds are hand gathered and cut so that each reed has a node at the back, preventing parasitic wasps from entering. Nesting native bees prefer reeds over tubes or wood trays, likely due
