Almost more bark inclusions than wood this was a challenging piece in more ways than one

The lid was bookmatched to mirror the incredible pattern the spalting imparted on the wood

Finished with food safe oil and wax this could be used to serve up a beautiful dish or as a decorative coffee table bowl
