American Eastlake upholstered & painted walnut tete-a-tete (c. 1880) Side Table A cottage in the backgroundAmerican Eastlake tete a tete of painted black walnut. The seats rest on eight turned legs which terminate in cast brass cup castors. The seats and back crest rail have been reupholstered in gray mohair velour and trimmed with wool satin cording. American, circa 1880. Condition: Wood surfaces have been painted and chair has been reupholstered. Marks and wear throughout commensurate with age and use.
