Pillow Case Thick Eri Silk Yellow yak wool naturally dyed with willow skinsThis pillow case is hand spun and hand woven by our team in Assam and stitched in our studio in Ladakh. The yarn is dyed with madder and jackfruit bark and it has a rustic texture as the yarn is a thicker one. The silk is called eri silk and cultivated by Assamese tribal communities South West of Guwahati. It is a wild silk and the moth leaves a hole in the cocoon as it has to be empty before it can be processed. Therefore it has a structure which is
