Its broad, deep green leaves are painted with fine pink and white stripes that radiate outward from the midrib like brushstrokes a pattern so precise it looks hand drawn. The undersides are a rich, deep purple. Like all Calatheas it folds its leaves upward each evening and opens them again in the morning in the characteristic prayer plant movement.
