It's a nicely flexible spell that does a great job of protecting more than your creatures
Whenever Kain deals combat damage to a player, that player gains control of Kain
Check for scratches on the holographic area, whitening along the edges, and soft or bent corners
It also gives it to itself so you can hold back, and play keep away
And while Magic has featured other video game crossovers in the past (hello, Assassins Creed and Fallout !), with the way this set is constructed, from card mechanics to art, you can tell this one is a developer favorite, sure to appeal to the massive chunk of people who love both games
I am still convinced that it deserves a spot among the top 5, simply because it is an evergreen interactive option for green decks in a format where the OG counterspell has just been introduced to the format
