Three mana for a 1/1 flyer that stuns something is probably already a playable card especially in a format with a Faerie deck and some payoffs for tapping things, so the fact that you also have the option of just playing this on turn one makes this a nice Common One of the downsides with counter magic that gives your opponent the option of paying mana to ignore it is that it gets worse as the game goes longer, but the Faerie upside here helps hedge against that
Monstrosity of the Lake Next up is Monstrosity of the Lake, a 4/6 for 5-mana that has islandcycling for and allows you tap all your opponents creatures, giving them a stun counter in the process, for mana on ETB
Permanents you control gain hexproof until end of turn
The difference now appears to be how publicly Target is enforcing the rule
Hype around the game is widespread, from YouTube to X to everyones new go-to, Bluesky
I was also very enthralled by the giant spiders in the story
