mystic snake / plasm capture -- nah negate / essence scatter -- solid if unexciting overrule -- CT, this is the X counterspell you've been looking for (but it's probably severely underpowered) sages dousing -- not sure I have enough wizards suffocating blast / voidslime / counterflux / absorb / undermine / punish ignorance / countersquall -- not worth the extra color my current list runs 18/450 = 1/25 counterspells or exactly 4 percent
