You actually give it to an opponent and then you and the other opponents each create a 1/1 Soldier token on each of that opponents upkeeps
Its not bad , and the reprint value is acceptable, but its just not interesting to me
It starts out life as a really problematic creature for your opponent - a 4-mana 4/3 with Flying and Vigilance will rapidly kill your opponent if they dont do something, but what really pushes this into bomb range is that even if they can do something, you end up with a pretty good Equipment anyway -- the stats boost AND the ability to tap down blockers will put your opponent in a ton of trouble, and it is the kind of boost that makes any creature a threat This set has a decent number of Artifacts in it., so the ETB ability will probably draw you a card like half the time in a typical White deck
The frames had to not change the readability of the cards too much after all, newcomers need to know which bits of text they need to read but it worked around that by plastering gaudy patterns on top
