This feels more like a thematic pick to fit Patrick's obliviousness than something you'd ever want to actually play
This is very strong with your Pyrohemia effects that will pump this for each mana spent
the only card in your deck that punishes him this way is Liliana's Caress and that's it, it's not reliable
The effect is a powerful way to cheat mana cost for big creatures, especially in red/green/black colours where there are enough ways to set your deck up to put the exact creature you want on top ready to go
