There are a couple of genuinely fun pre-constructed decks in the rotation, and the game throws cards and gold at you for every little random accomplishment, so I could see a lot of Arena players having a perfectly successful run with the game without ever sinking a real dollar into it
Theres a chance this Gearhulk sees serious play in 60-card formats, and if it does it could stick around $10, or potentially even higher

The blue splash also gives you some fun access to cards like Flusterstorm out of the sideboard, which can be really strong when trying to fight certain pieces of removal
Since there are plenty of ways to fight this, Mental Misstep is one that I, personally, dont put too much credence in, particularly when the opponent might use other removal to get rid of a creature other than one casting cost removal
