King Crab is really cool, but very mana expensive, Willbreaker is just impossible to keep alive, Heartstone is a tad $ expensive, and Im not really that dependant on using Blind Seer's ability, and finally, Dismiss into Dream is a really cool card, but is a bit too mana expensive as well as making me too much of a target
A good control list will have dedicated parts of the deck tailored to efficiently deal with creatures thus allowing you to reserve your counterspells for things that you need them against such as Armageddon, planeswalkers, Mind Twist and so forth
They kill quickly and are efficient and hard to answer, but at least you have some time and can recover from them
A two-point bump in Power gets it to the two-hit threshold, which is not nothing, and the fact it can protect itself with Treasures or Clues or Rocks or whatever other permanents you can rustle up is super solid
