Aside from the obviously powerful cards in the set such as the Diancie Prism Star card w/ Cheerleader ability, Beast Ring, Ultra Necrozma etc the set also presented a number of less anticipated, but equally viable Pokemon and trainer cards, some of my favourite examples are below:- Crasher Wake 129/131 allows players to discard two water energies and take ANY two cards from their deck making it a pretty damn good cards for those running water decks
Darkness to Light and Thunder to Cannon If you place 5 cards with the [Hybrid] trait and different names from your hand or trash under 1 of your Tamers, 1 of your Tamers with 5 or more cards under it may digivolve into a [MagnaGarurumon] that is in your hand or trash
+1/+1 counters are the obvious place to start for GW
Just look at this flavour text to the red-aligned Urabrask the Hidden
The first set of Pokmon cards was released on October 20, 1996, containing 102 cards
Spending a card to stun something for two turnsjust isnt worth it
