My feeling when seeing these new enchanted artworks was that while they are a bold creative decision by the Lorcana team, they may not be hitting quite as well as more fully rendered characters with all their accompanying colors and style

Im not sure that cost matters, especially when you can gain lore when it enters

And, because this deck will get lots of lands in play and draw lots of extra Birds, getting one or more Storm Crows each turn isnt going to be difficult

While its not getting rid of everything, its still going to be an X for 1, where X is equal to more than enough for three mana
