Clearly care is spent to create a sense of quality that pervades almost all of the modern Magic products: Shiny boosters, foil cards, and nicely fabricated boxes make opening a product an exciting event over and above the random chance of rare cards
However, there are likely better options available, such as creatures with more impactful abilities or lower mana costs, like Delver of Secrets, which can transform into a powerful flyer
The "attacking creatures" clause was dropped because it doesn't interact correctly with vigilance
I didnt get to see Kindred Dominance in action, but its obviously going to be bonkers if youre the only one playing your tribe

While not a patch on the popularity of Charizard, I think Tyranitar comes close, which explains this card's value
