As long as at least one creature card was discarded this way, you'll create a Moogle token, and as long as at least one noncreature card was discarded this way, you'll put a +1/+1 counter on each Moogle you control
If youre only looking for a specific card to fit in your deck, Id say consider their condition first and edition later
It was also one of the first games in the series that I played, so I was much more forgiving of its flaws than I might otherwise have been if I'd been following the games religiously
Considering that curling really affects what you can sell cards for and that cards that are too curled can get you disqualified from competitive games this is great news
