If the target creature is a token, the ability still triggers when it dies, but you won't return the token to the battlefield because it'll cease to exist when state-based actions are checked

As an uninkable card with a cost of nine, there's an inherent risk in keeping this in-hand, but any deck that's designed to take a beating can quickly increase its viability
The Amber/Ruby deck includes one action card, Rescue Rangers Away! Meanwhile, the Emerald/Sapphire deck features two, Gadget Hackwrench Perceptive Mouse and Gadget Hackwrench Brilliant Bosun. The latter, which we will see again shortly, is a Floodborn glimmer, so it requires the former Gadget glimmer (or any other one named Gadget) to be played first before it can be used
