My favorite is in an Ashling the Pilgrim deck, where you can combine Ashling with a Basilisk Collar and the Scythe to wipe the entire board each turn, returning every creature destroyed to the battlefield under your control
The thing is, Ponder would be a lot stronger if it were a split card that also featured (1 U) Instant Counter target spell unless its caster pays 3, and (1) Instant Pay 4 life: Target creature gets -5/-5
Perhaps some cheap ramp and fixing effects too
You go up so many cards between taking the initiative and impulse drawing off this, and we cant forget the cast-from-exile synergies
A spicy way to build this is to put only one other elf or elemental in your deck so instead of drawing a random card, you draw straight into Titania, Protector of Argoth or a similar threat
You need to beware of post-factory alterations, like non-factory cuts (NFCs) made from uncut sheets or fake crimps applied with tools
