This 5/5 stops opponents from gaining life, has Menace, and turns the mana cost of every first spell of a players turn into damage against another player
It does cost significantly more mana, but as we expect to hit our land drops every turn that should not be as much of a problem
Having a lead-in to Arena is a major draw to this product over past editions since Arena has made Magic much more accessible for new players
The end result is pretty close to using a Through the Breach to put an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn into play, with Auratouched Mage being something like a 10/10, hasty, annihilating threat out of nowhere
The tags include standard descriptors such as villain or hero, alongside more thematic keywords such as sorcerer
While not offering the most desired choice of lands or action Commune with the Gods does offer the rare ability to find enchantments which makes it just the ticket now and again
