There is also a crown shaped iron stud or gatepusher on the top of the antler

Antique Telescopic or Collapsible Cup in Leather Case - Cup030 bridle It has a short neckThis silver plated cup is made of three concentric sections which can collapse into each other. The inside is gilt washed. The outer plating is a little scratched where the sections have move against each other. It fits neatly into a red morocco leather covered case.
