It is a large, heavy oval locket in black enamel and gilt silver, the front is set with a multitude of creamy seed pearls arranged in the letters IMO in fancy script, for In Memory Of. The black enamel representing death and the creamy seed pearls representing tears, this is a highly sentimental piece. It has a large enamelled integral bale and comes on a later vintage sterling silver rope chain
