Silver Bay Scallop Studs - Cast Shell Earrings Finish:Polished The sand dollar itself isThese Scallop Shell Stud Earrings are made from the molding and casting of real found scallop shells in recycled silver. I collected the original empty mollusk shells on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then sent them to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. The Scallop is the birth shell for November. Once the castings are returned, I solder on the silver ear post. Finally they are cleaned up and hand
