Umi 4 Jes√∫s Perea His Shifts paintings evoke serenityImage size is 40 x 32 cm (15. 7 x 12. 6 in) matted to 61 x 51. x 0. 1 cm (24 x 20. 1 in) Within the minimalist construct, this work on paper explores the chromatic energy of colour through an additive reductive means of application. Inspired by the stillness of Rothko and the poetry of the Renaissance masters, these works reveal the delicate vibrations of colour in a balanced choreography of the painted and the drawn.
