On the outside there is a leather loop or sword frog. The case has been used, there are small dents where it pressed against the saddle or another buckle and two pinholes in the back. It has hardly any other wear. Inside there is the pocket for the horseshoe and a small section for spare nails. The back of the case is faintly stamped "B. H. O. L. 1940" . The front is stamped "034" and
