Not all mourning jewellery was finished in dark colours such as black or cobalt blue and this fine example showcases the versatility of mourning pieces beautifully. It is a large oval locket, heavily engraved to the front and reverse with an ivy leaf design to the front and a floral design to the reverse. The front of the locket holds an applied gold ivy leaf set
