This allows the photographer to selectively adjust exposure across the frame without affecting colour balance. The soft gradation is ideal when there is no definite transition between sky and foreground, for instance woodland, mist & interiors. LEE's 85mm filters are formulated with harder than usual grad lines to compensate for
