The morning was very calm and peaceful with the sunrise being reflected onto a picturesque scene

it is a beautiful area of the park to photograph with the elements involved

An early morning snowfall of 3-5 inches blankets this scene in Northern Illinois as I hike to the lake taking in the majestic views of this small park

I didn't have to wait very long for the colors to fill sky and I then began to compose the shots and started pressing that shutter release
