This tool was used to administer medication to horsesIt takes the form of a turned wooden tube with a shaped endIt has a wooden plunger insideThe medicine would be formed into a ball and placed in the hollow end of the tube

There are also short bars - possibly to stop it being pulled through the mouth

Antique Saddle or Hunting Flask in Leather Case - Flask264 sept24 The Cavendish coat of armsThis conical flask has a silver plated bayonet or captured cap. The flask is handblown heavy crystal The dark mahogany coloured case has a very good patina. There are a couple of small gouges in the leather on the horse side of the case The girth strap is attached so that the flask will sit on the near side of the saddle. The case closes with a billet fastening and it has its original top strap which attaches the flask to the D ring of the saddle.
