There is a somewhat dented silver button stamped "Swaine & Adeney, London" on the heel of the staghorn. It has a two silver collars with ribbed edges. One is stamped "Swaine" and both are stamped with the silversmith's mark "ESA" the hallmarks are too rubbed to read. One collar is engraved "P. K. C" and dated 5. 8. 24. There are dents and dings in both collars. Between the collars the whip is covered in dark brown
