X counterspells scale as the game goes on, allowing them to remain relevant, and this one even exiles it's target

The nice part of Will is that he reduces the cost of spells with X in their casting cost too, letting you commit extra mana to those spells without actually having to have the mana for it

What would you do to make a bleeder deck

So, to be clear: you untap Balthier and Fran, and crew something else, and you can pay for more extra combats

One of the things I want to note about this deck is how well minor characters are highlighted as creatures

Be aggressive about taking weakened players out of the game at this point, but dont leave yourself defenseless if someone else still has a powerful position at the table
