All of this together benefits from the largely excellent balance work of co-developer Creatures Inc: rushing, setting up, stalling and so on are all strategies from the standard physical game that have made it over nicely here
The deck does get wrecked by an excessive amount of Thoughtseize, but most decks do, so we do what we can
For four mana, you can tutor up the Vampire and immediately sacrifice it to defeat the battle and add an 8/8 Zilortha to the battlefield
Ghyrson Starn is perfect in a blue-red pinger deck, since he rewards players for dealing exactly one damage
From combo decks finishing with Thassa's Oracle to grindy, resilient decks dominating long games, the graveyard does a bit of everything
For only one mana (or three, if you want to cast it from your graveyard), you draw two cards and discard two
