Remember, these are extremely basic, non-competitive decks that are good for teaching people how to play or just playing kitchen table Magic with a friend, but they wont get you anywhere towards building a competitive Constructed deck or a viable Commander deck
Flash and flying just happen to be a bit more commonplace than creature types like goblin and merfolk, and being able to flash in creatures off the top of your deck is actually pretty good
Your creatures are going to be able to block a lot of what your opponents can throw at you, and can deal large amounts of damage to take anyone problematic to your game plan out of the game quickly
This makes sense, given that Innistrad earneda new record with five cards that make zombie tokens - plus three more in Dark Ascension and one more in Avacyn Restored, back when the three-sets-to-a-block paradigm was in effect
