"Kicker [cost]" means "You may pay an additional [cost] as you cast this spell." If a spell's kicker cost was paid, the spell is "kicked." The kicker ability doesn't let you pay a kicker cost more than once
This could be a really effective late game move for you when you play this deck
Of course, Magic: The Gathering FINAL FANTASY is localized in every language we currently support, so my hope is that every FINAL FANTASY fan sees the cards, quotes, and names that they recognize across the set

The only archetype so far that seems to heavily struggle with Neo Exdeath due to the lack of answers is Mono Ice, which however can at least implement more discard, making Cid Aulstyne more consistent
Even if you can counter the trigger with Voidslime they get an Eldrazi, which no one wants
