The best thing is that, at its core, I think it's doing something truly unique and awesome and, in many ways, doing it right

As the Pokmon TCG has grown and changed, both attack damage and HP values have risen dramatically, and the latest Pokmon ex variant exemplifies this

Shutting off almost every means of interaction from your opponents is a combo players dream, ensuring they can casually assemble the cogs of their machine without fear of reprisal in game (It wont save you from the out of game ones though hopefully your playgroup contains good sports)
