You cast a colorless spell (hopefully an Eldrazi), you deal a damage, you make a Spawn token, you deal another damage

You also have a boat load of incidental lifegain which means against all but the most aggressive red decks you can afford to treat the Library like a Phyrexian Arena

This can play into one of Human's other gameplans, allowing Katilda, Dawnhart Prime to spread +1/+1 counters across all of your creatures
