Its a techy card, and pretty meta dependent, but it can do a lot of work
Archmages Charm is extremely pushed, a solid permission spell, a good way to build card advantage for hitting land drops, and a fantastic tool against Deaths Shadow, Wild Nacatl, Goblin Guide, Pyxis of Pandemonium, Champion of the Parish, Aether Vial, Delver of Secrets, Hardened Scales, Amulet of Vigor, Benthic Biomancer, Glistener Elf, Noble Hierarch, Viscera Seer, and sometimes even Hexdrinker (just to mention a few)
Non-serialized Doctor cards are mechanically identical to their Serialized versions
Theyre your starting point for adding new cards and experimenting with deck building before you get enough resources to craft one of your own
The Golgari deck from Worlds Top 8 had four Cottages and three Tortoises, with the Tortoise able to find a Cottage (or bring one back from the dead), while also reducing the cost of activating it (allowing the potential for multiple creature lands to attack each turn), and even pumping them
[c]Muddle the Mixture[/c]s transmute ability technically makes it a tutor too
