The trigger event doesn't have to specifically refer to "creatures." In these cases, the trigger event may also refer to something being "put into a graveyard from the battlefield." For example, if the equipped creature or an emblem you own has an ability that triggers "whenever an artifact is put into a graveyard from the battlefield," that ability would trigger twice if an artifact creature died
I'll also quickly note, I really love the full art versions of these characters that include their respective roman numerals in the background
Then, for step 3, I offered giant stacks of playable commons and uncommons at the 40% point between SCG buy and sell prices
I even run Dramatic Reversal (a steal at $1 for foils considering how much competitive EDH players love this combo) in case I need to go off without Paradox Engine
Targets are chosen for that spell before you choose another player to help you pay for it and before that player has committed any mana to doing so
