*RETAIL - Euphorbia characias 'Portuguese Velvet' Size:1g/$18 grows to a shiny evergreenKetzel Levine calls this one lusciously upholstered and my favorite 'phorb for foliage. We call it carefree and easy in the garden; glorious all year with gray green, velvety foliage and in spring with golden flowers on green bracts. Odd in that it pups little plants at its tips easy to share over the back fence. To 3 or 4ft tall and as wide. Best in full sun with little summer water. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
