Like its little sister, it was designed by the Bauhaus ceramist Werner Burri. Characteristic features are the flat, rectangular plate, slightly raised at the edges, and the equally rectangular, bowl shaped lid. At six centimeters high and twelve centimeters wide, the butter dish is twice as wide as it is tall. The Bauhaus proclaimed rule "form
