It is made from spruce French White Oak from spent wine barrels from Soquel Vineyards. You can even see a few wine spots on the wood! Given the density of the oak, there are holes cut uniformly throughout the tip and tail make the plane a little lighter. Each hole has been covered with resin to ensure water tightness. The holes add a unique look as well. This
