The removal rate of material is very high, allowing the use of finer grits while grinding opal to either expose the colour or pre form. Less scratches means less work in the following stages to pre polish. The edge of the wheel can be used to accurately grind down to thin opal layers. The wheels are balanced, quiet, and durable.
