So creamy and polished in texture
It might not possess the finesse of a top flight Yquem
structured tannins with a distinct mineral edge
It actually reminds me of an improved version of the 1996 or a hypothetical mix of the 2010 and 2016
Pelissero - Barbaresco Vanotu 1999 (1.5L) Santa Barbera County along with Winemakers Sean ThompsonSaturated medium ruby. Superripe aromas of black raspberry, roasted plum, dark chocolate, mocha, and sexy, smoky oak. Then almost surprisingly fresh and juicy in the mouth despite its roasted nuances, with strong, delineated fruit flavors of noteworthy depth. Here the fine tannins spread out nicely on the impressively long finish. A rather broad Barbaresco that also offers good cut and grip.
