Steel fasteners are zinc plated and will need to be painted

It ties the back of the bed together by being bolted crosswise from one bed side to the other

Ford bedwood kits for use with this sill have indentations on the top and bottom so that the sill lays flush, like the original. Made from 16 gauge galvanized or stainless steel. Steel sill should be painted to prevent corrosion and to maintain the original look. Mounting holes are predrilled and the fasteners needed are included in the bolt kit.
