Early in the seven hour lunar flyby observation period, one of the Artemis II crew made a deliberate choice: shoot with a smaller aperture. Less light in, more contrast out. The result is a darker, heavier version of the Moon than the typical flyby images, with shadows that swallow the surface detail and highlights that barely hold on. This is what
