It is stamped to the front with the date and "H. Vpfl." which stands for Heeresverpflegung, and this translates to Army catering or Army supply service. It is stamped to the rear with the Wehrmacht Eagle. These sacks were used for the transport and storage of bulk foodstuffs, such as grain and flour, to supply German army units in the field. Made of heavy Hessian burlap. Size: 105cm x 71cm
