Bodegas Hermanos de Pecina, Rioja Gran Reserva, 2016 PZCalifornia toasty orange and pear skinFounded in 1992 by Pedro Pecia Crespo and his three sons, Hermanos de Pecina draws on Pedro's decades of experience as vineyard manager at the legendary La Rioja Alta. The family owns 50 hectares in the elite north side Rioja Alta, where 36 months in American oak barrel shaped this 2016 Gran Reservaa blend of Tempranillo (95%), Graciano (3%), and Garnacha (2%) from old vine sites. The wine opens with layered aromas of ripe red and black fruit,
