The Gibson SG Special takes the standard SG concept, and strips it back to the essential elements. Whats left is a simple, but versatile instrument with great playability and tone for days. This 2006 example features a worn cherry finish. In the pickup cavity we have WC for worn cherry and SGSC for SG Special. The thin nitro finish has naturally aged very nicely over the last 20 years. As well as the factory worn finish,
